Petru is a backend engineering specialist, cloud migration expert, and lifelong tech enthusiast whose journey began with an AMD K6-2 and a knack for solving computer problems as a teenager. Today, he’s a Senior Staff Engineer building microservices that power some of the most advanced vehicles on the road. Known for his logical thinking and hands-on troubleshooting, Petru is one of those rare engineers who can both architect complex systems and mentor other technologists along the journey.

Over recent years, Petru has consistently contributed to high-performing teams and delivering scalable backend solutions. His work includes migrating microservices from OpenShift to AWS, developing Kubernetes modules, setting up infrastructure with Terraform, and leading Level 3 support. He’s also a skilled Java developer, expanding feature sets, writing integration and unit tests, and ensuring system reliability. Petru’s technical leadership extends beyond code—he’s a trusted onboarding guide for new engineers, helping them ramp up quickly and contribute meaningfully.
